Overview

JCPL is seeking an experienced contractor to facilitate compliance with Colorado’s new Digital Accessibility legislation and related laws. The contractor will assist in outlining key activities, milestones, timelines, and responsibilities to achieve and maintain compliance, while providing cross‑divisional support for Technology & Innovation, Communication & Engagement, Public Services, and Training.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in communications, journalism, English, or related field.
  • Knowledge of managing content and users in a CMS.
  • Understanding of organizational content management processes.
  • Experience writing requirements for content projects and tools.
  • Proficiency in keyword placement and SEO best practices.
  • Experience with popular content management systems.
  • Social media management experience.
Duties and Responsibilities

As a CMS Administrator for the online Content Services team, you will lead a host of projects and be responsible for task execution within knowledge management. The role involves interacting with stakeholders across the business, collaborating, building consensus, organizing ideas, communicating them to stakeholders, and delivering projects transparently and harmoniously.

Specific Contractor Requirements
  • Experience standing up a successful Digital Accessibility Program, including conducting accessibility assessments, creating and facilitating remediation planning and tracking, delivering digital accessibility training, implementing technology and planning, governance, and recommending ongoing monitoring and support.
