This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid schedule (combination of in‑office and remote workplace). Equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our Denver office, on the first day of employment.
Position SummaryThe Technology team manages CDEC’s enterprise applications and systems. It is responsible for application management, operational support, service delivery, and continuous enhancement. The team is divided into Operations & Service units that handle system administration, daily operations, ticketing, triaging, troubleshooting and service delivery to end users.
Responsibilities- Create, define, and update system designs, blueprints, and maps and continuously develop an iterative future state of the DECL structure.
- Create, manage, maintain, and share the DECL IT Software Roadmap to align with BITS strategy and CDEC business needs.
- Oversee all DECL IT enhancements, operations & maintenance, projects, and technical debt management requests.
- Act as a representative of DECL and Technology Operations on the CDEC Intake Review Board.
- Provide high‑level guidance, planning, direction, coordination, and technological leadership to the Technology Unit.
- Foster and champion an Agile environment across the entire system.
- Support Product Owners, Product Managers, Technology Service, and Technology Operations through Agile planning, backlog creation, and testing opportunities.
- Design Agile, iterative DECL solutions with sustainable and rational outcomes.
- Drive technology decisions toward long‑term sustainability and away from customization or quick‑fix solutions.
- Conduct systemic analyses of existing infrastructure and identify enhancement opportunities that simplify and streamline operations.
- Support Technology Operations System Administrators in achieving long‑term priorities while maintaining system operations.
- Lead and attend meetings with Product, Office of Program Delivery, and other stakeholders concerning enhancements, operations, and maintenance for the DECL IT system.
- Ensure UX, UI, and CX needs are represented in infrastructure decisions.
- Serve as a communication pivot between the Technology Unit and stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Six (6) years of relevant experience in technology or software roles, including at least three (3) years of planning, directing, designing, and developing architecture.
- One (1) year of experience as a team leader, work lead, senior role, system role, architect, or supervisor.
- Experience communicating, executing, articulating, and modeling an Agile software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Salesforce Administrator and/or Salesforce Architect certification.
- Leadership experience in technology, software, and enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively between technology and non‑technology teams.
- Direct experience with Technology Operations, Service, Development, and Product teams.
