Job Title

Content Management System (CMS) Administrator

Location

Lakewood, CO (Hybrid). Minimum of two days in office, possibly three days, coordinating with staff.

Contract Duration

12+ months.

Overview

Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) is seeking an experienced contractor to facilitate organizational compliance with Colorado’s new Digital Accessibility legislation and related legislation. JCPL has drafted a program plan and seeks assistance with outlining key activities, milestones, timelines, and responsibilities to achieve and maintain compliance. The work involves providing cross‑divisional support and collaboration for teams across the organization, including Technology and Innovation, Communication and Engagement, Public Services, and Training.

Responsibilities

As a CMS Administrator for the online Content Services team, you will lead a host of projects and be responsible for task execution within the broad field of knowledge management. The role interacts with stakeholders across the business and requires superb abilities to collaborate, build consensus, organize ideas, communicate them to stakeholders, and deliver projects transparently and harmoniously.

Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of managing content and users in a CMS, and an understanding of how an organization manages content.
  • Experience writing requirements for content projects and tools.
  • Adept at keyword placement and SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency with popular content management systems.
  • Social media management experience.
  • Must be local to Lakewood, CO and available to be in office as needed.
Additional Requirements for Digital Accessibility Program
  • Conducted accessibility assessment.
  • Created and facilitated remediation planning and tracking.
  • Provided digital accessibility training.
  • Implemented and planned technology solutions.
  • Established governance and recommendations for ongoing monitoring and support.
