El Paso County Department of Human Services (EPCDHS) is seeking a detail-oriented data professional with strong critical thinking skills, a passion for process improvement, and expertise in data visualization and analytic tools. In this role, you’ll help advance data modernization for the department as a member of the Data Analytics team, which delivers high-quality data products and consultative support to department programs and community partners, empowering data-driven decisions and streamlining the delivery of services to the public.

This position offers opportunities to grow, learn new tools, and collaborate across the department and with external stakeholders, all while contributing to meaningful programs and initiatives.

Hiring Range: $83,000.00 - $92,000.00 annually

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hybrid schedule may be available upon successful completion of the initial evaluation period; subject to change.

• Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures, as well as queries and transformations across relational and cloud-based data platforms and services, for data analysis, quality control, data integrity, and reporting datasets.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data integration workflows to support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery from a variety of sources, including databases, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain reports and visualizations using Power BI and other Microsoft-based applications.
• Perform a variety of research, analysis, design, testing, integration, maintenance, support, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize novel data from multiple sources, including databases, application interfaces (APIs), and cloud-based data services, and incorporate findings into actionable insights.
