What We’re Doing
Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2
BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team consists of many small agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading‑edge missile defense technologies.
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Full‑time Career Level Dev Sec Ops Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our on‑prem hyperconverged cloud infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our applications and services. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in cloud computing, DevOPS practices, and a passion for automating administrative tasks using a wide range of technologies including Python, Bash, Power Shell, Ansible, and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
Location& Work Schedule
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
- Position is located at Schriever, Space Force Base, 10 miles east of Colorado Springs, CO, 100% onsite.
- Work schedule:
4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week (shift First).
As leader of the C2
BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America’s missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. As a C2
BMC‑Global Team member, you will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals including software and systems engineers, architects, and our project engineering team.
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance (Final Secret).
- Candidate must obtain a DOD 8570 certification such as Security+ CE or equivalent within three months of starting.
- Proven experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration.
- Experience with a scripting language such as Bash, Python, Power Shell or Ansible or other coding experience.
- A final Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Red Hat Open Stack or Nutanix.
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret.
Pay RateThe annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 – $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. - This position is incentive plan eligible.
