We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Lakeview Senior Living. We are looking for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team! We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to help maintain our community and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our residents.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. This position will assist in all phases of maintenance operations.

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Property Manager and takes direction from the Maintenance Supervisor as assigned. This position will maintain working relationships with all other staff members, vendors, contractors, construction personnel; will maintain positive relationships with all current and prospective residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by the Maintenance Technician:

  • Completes maintenance work orders as assigned
  • Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties
  • Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation
  • Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern
  • Handles emergency situations that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager
  • Participates in on-call schedule and responds to after-hours incidents
  • Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment
  • Interacts in a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
  • Actively participates and follows the safety and health programs
  • Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum High School Education or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years full time maintenance experience including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and heating systems
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to solve problems involving residents, emergency situations, etc.
  • Basic computer skills for completing online work orders
  • Works well in a team environment and demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level
  • Must have HVAC and pool certifications
SCOPE + COMPENSATION
  • Minimum forty (40) hours per week; additional hours as required. Regular schedule to be consistent with established hours of operation
  • Salary commensurate with level of experience and job requirements
