Shot Blast & Paint Technician- Pueblo, CA

Overview

Purpose:

Reports To:

SBP Lead/SBP Level 3

Objective:
To efficiently and accurately blast and paint high pressure and acetylene cylinders.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour DOE

• Facilities – Use care and respect when utilizing equipment and facilities. All employees should pick up and clean in any public space, restroom, break room or passageway where they might be located or traveling throughout the facility. Housekeeping is everyone’s responsibility.

• Know, understand and accurately follow all applicable SOPs.
• Meet all applicable efficiency requirements.
• Correctly identify the various sizes and types of cylinders, valves, and gas services.
• Ensure all stamped markings on the cylinder are legible.
• Ensure that the gas service and customer acronyms are marked on all cylinders.
• Ensure the proper valve is inserted correctly.
• Efficiently move cylinders to the proper area, including palletizing or nesting as directed.
• Ensure that hanging caps are properly placed on all cylinders moving to the paint line.
• Hang cylinders on the line if they require paint service under the direction of the SBP Level 3.
• Safely remove cylinders from the paint line.
• Any other duties assigned.

• Ability to roll two cylinders at a time.
• Ability to identify DOT cylinder specifications including cylinders that require special permits or exemptions.
• Ability to read English.
