Machine Operator- Nights

General Summary

Operates as a fully participating and effective team member of a production line within the scope of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) required of this position. Monitors the performance and workflow of the production line in one or more functions in the following areas: safety, housekeeping, productivity, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

• Operates at least one major piece of equipment on any of the packaging lines.
• Conducts minor Preventive Maintenance operations including lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and adjustments.
• Assists Mechanics/Line Technicians with performing Planned Maintenance.
• Performs all daily basic safety checks, quality checks, checklists, and housekeeping.
• Clears equipment jams.
• Ensures compliance with the recycling process of empty component boxes.
• Utilizes computer interface panels to operate the equipment.
• Maintains equipment and performs full change overs, washouts, and sanitizations.
• Adheres to the requirements of the SOP’s and GMP’s.
• Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and follows all safety procedures documented in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Reports safety hazards, quality, and production issues to supervision immediately.
• Participates in all job‑related safety, quality, and equipment training.
• Complies with all Church & Dwight Co. Inc. policies and procedures and NJ laws.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Train other operators as may be required.

High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

Shift: Sunday night through Friday morning, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Compensation: $22.95 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
