Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado’s largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner in Lakewood.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our extremely busy oncology clinic
. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, working closely with oncologists, nurses, and the care team to deliver timely, high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

This position offers a $20,000 sign‑on bonus.
Salary Range: $110,000-$

A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, and certifications as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
- Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribe therapies as indicated.
- Perform procedures with minimal supervision.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide education.
- Promote wellness and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Often incorporate evidence‑based research into clinical practice.
- Possess solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
- Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
- Likely provide case management for patients and their families.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff by providing information about clinical trials.
- Provide palliative care for patients and their families as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Nurse Practitioner – Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
OR
Physician Assistant – Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in the practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
OR
Clinical Nurse Specialist – Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
AOCNS preferred (if applicable). Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
