Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner in Lakewood.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join our extremely busy oncology clinic
. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, working closely with oncologists, nurses, and the care team to deliver timely, high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

This environment is fast‑paced and high‑acuity
, requiring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to efficiently manage a full and dynamic schedule.

This position does offer a $20,000 sign‑on bonus.

Salary Range: $110,000-$

Responsibilities
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
  • Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
  • Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
  • Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Often incorporates evidence‑based research into clinical practice.
  • Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.
  • Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.
  • May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Nurse Practitioner:
    Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of an NP program; minimum 3 years of experience as an NP in the chosen specialty; RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing; current state licensure as an NP; AOCNP preferred; BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Physician Assistant:
    Successful completion of an accredited PA program; current NCCPA certification; minimum 3 years of experience; current state license as PA; BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist:
    Master's of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a CNS program; minimum 3 years of experience; RN state licensure; current state licensure as CNS; AOCNS preferred; BLS/CPR certification required.
