Palmer Ridge High School is looking for a Health Aide/Clerk for the school year. Under general supervision of the School Nurse Consultant, candidates will perform the day to day activities of providing student health services. Persons assigned to this position will carry out tasks delegated by the School Nurse Consultant, including giving medications and administering first aid, but does not make decisions that require the judgment of a nurse.
Other duties performed are designed to support the school office administrative operation. This position will also answer and direct phone calls while monitoring visitors via the doorbell; record student absences on Infinite Campus and notify parents, and prepare daily, weekly, and quarterly attendance reports, as well as assisting with the October Count report. Candidates will also collect and track fees on Infinite Campus.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Paid or volunteer experience working with children in any medical setting is preferred. Must be able to possess and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification. Must maintain training on medication administration and universal precautions. Must be willing and able to provide physical care to ill and/or injured students and be able to work independently, providing a warm and caring attitude toward students, parents, and staff.

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.53 to $19.97, depending on previous experience. This is a full time position (7.5 hours/day, 5 days/week for 185 days) with full benefits and works on high school student contact days with a few additional work days to total 185 days.
