As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:
- Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
- Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
- Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Direct GI Experience required
# beds: 1 GI procedure room; run 2 Pre‑op and 2 PACU bays
Cases/day (average): 8-12/day; add on patients in the afternoon
Scheduling: 0700‑1730 is typical schedule, volume dependent
Call requirements:
- 1 weeknight (Monday‑Friday) from 1700‑0700 (14
Hrs) - 2 holidays a year from 0700‑0700 (24hrs)
- Every 4th Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 0700‑0700 (24hrs)
Schedule – 20hrs/week – Variable shifts/days of the week per unit volume/need. TBD with Unit manager during interviews.
Call required – 1 night per week and one full weekend (Sat and Sun) per six‑week schedule.
30‑Minute Call Back – Radius required.
Job RequirementsIn addition to bringing human kindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following:
Education Requirements- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required;
Nursing Diploma or by endorsement. - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
- One year experience preferred.
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
- RN License required;
Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
- Medium Work – (Exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly).
Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center providing comprehensive health care services to the Denver region.
