Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner in Lakewood.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join our extremely busy oncology clinic. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, working closely with oncologists, nurses, and the care team to deliver timely, high-quality, patient-centered care.

This environment is fast-paced and high-acuity, requiring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to efficiently manage a full and dynamic schedule.

This position does offer a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

The successful candidate will:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individual patients
  • Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response within practice protocol; prescribe drug therapies per protocol and physician consultation
  • Perform diagnostic procedures including bone marrow aspirate and biopsy
  • Assist physician and perform procedures as needed; conduct patient assessment
  • Provide diagnostic and pharmacologic management of the disease process and treatment side effects
  • Promote wellness and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs
  • Knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements
  • Complete patient charge tickets
  • Provide case management for oncology clients and their families
Qualifications:
  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. BCLS and ACON certification expected within one year. Previous oncology experience is required.
