Job Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Golden, Colorado. The assignment is 13 weeks, starting 27 July 2026, 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts, and is a travel assignment.
Compensation is competitive for travel professionals and includes tax‑free stipend and daily pay.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessment of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams
- Assist in positioning patients correctly and ensuring EKG electrodes and cardiac leads are properly placed
- Assist physicians during procedures, including placement of catheters, wires, balloons, stents, structural heart devices, and other cardiac interventions
- Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic waveforms
- Assist in arterial and/or venous sheath removal using closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression, and transport patients to recovery
- Monitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedure
- Support post‑procedure care, monitoring patient recovery and ensuring smooth transition to the next phase of care
- Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, ensuring it functions properly and is fully stocked
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians to provide seamless care
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- One year’s recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- PALS or ENPC Certification
- RCIS certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, reading instructions, and PC skills
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), and perform mandatory mandible and limb motions
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain a professional attitude
- Technical/Motor skills for fine manipulations during procedures and equipment handling
- Mental resilience to manage frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and handle irregular schedules
