Position: RN Acute Care Transplant / Thoracic Rotating

Description

UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora

Department:
Transplant Medicine

Position type:
Part Time, 48 hours per pay period (2 weeks; 24 hours per week). Shift: Day and Night Rotation.

Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour (dependent on relevant experience). Night shift incentive: $1,600 quarterly ($6,400 annually) for full‑time night shift RN and LPN.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state‑board‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years of experience.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • BLS Healthcare Provider or relevant life‑support certification (e.g., CPR, AHA/Red Cross).
  • Six months of RN experience.
  • BLS card through American Heart Association or American Red Cross, must be current within 60 days of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Provide top‑of‑scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Prioritize wellness from a patient perspective and evidence‑based practice.
  • Precepet new staff and promote clinical excellence.
  • Contribute to safety and quality at the point of care in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
Clinical Focus

Acute Care:
Direct care of moderate to high acuity Med‑Surg units. Involved in core curriculum and specialty certification standards of the Acute Care Specialized Nurse (AMSN) program.
