Job Overview

The Oncology Nurse Educator (ONE) will be responsible for proactively engaging with allied healthcare professionals to provide product and disease education, supporting before, during and after patient management on approved therapies. The ONE will focus on ongoing education and resources related to patient management, dosing and administration, and side effect management, and will collaborate with field teams to ensure education support for allied healthcare clinicians.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic education leader across academic and community oncology accounts by:
    • Providing proactive and reactive education with approved resources to the patient care team members;
    • Developing a customized educational plan through analysis of account dynamics and clinical insights that meets needs and challenges;
    • Educating on the preparation and administration requirements of TA products, and adverse event mitigation, monitoring, and management;
    • Interpreting and communicating relevant clinical education topics to diverse audiences as per approved materials;
    • Educating on disease state awareness, including clinical and operational aspects of appropriate patient diagnosis;
    • Providing education programs through 1:1 presentations, in‑services and approved methods, including round‑table discussions and podium presentations.
  • Educate patient care teams about the infusion process associated with the product.
  • Utilize strategic questioning and active listening to document and share clinical insights.
  • Attend and provide clinical information at internal national, regional, and local meetings.
  • Provide staff support at exhibit booths and displays.
  • Support internal training initiatives and improve clinical competencies of the sales team.
  • Collaborate across internal functional areas related to the Oncology business (e.g., sales, marketing, clinical operations, medical, clinical value & evidence).
  • Potentially provide education to patients in advocacy meeting settings using appropriate materials.
Qualifications
  • Clinical degree including a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or NP;
    Master’s level education preferred.
  • Three or more years of combined clinical experience and/or pharmaceutical sales, clinical educator, or medical affairs experience (Oncology preferred).
  • Experience working in or supporting patients and HCPs in the infusion center setting, including development/implementation of chemotherapy/biologics infusion procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, business acumen, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to change and continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical and pharmacoeconomic data.
  • Recognition of evolving oncology market trends and their effects on providers and patients.
  • Success operating within a cross‑functional team.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other related applications.
  • Travel availability of 75% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
  • Capability to drive a personal auto, company vehicle, or powered equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening test.
