Position: Registered Nurse - Contract/Travel - PACU *Up to $2,200/WK!*

This contract/travel registered nurse position is a 13‑week assignment in the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit in Lakewood, Colorado. The role offers up to $2,200 per week and focuses on delivering compassionate patient care and collaborating with surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate and efficient patient care in the PACU setting, monitoring and documenting patient progress post‑surgery using Epic charting system.

  • Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient recovery and discharge planning.

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and vital signs in Epic to ensure compliance with hospital protocols.

  • Execute on‑call responsibilities, responding promptly within 1 hour to emergencies or patient needs during assigned shifts.

  • Assist with patient education regarding post‑operative care, recovery processes, and follow‑up instructions to promote optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Valid nursing degree (Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing).

  • ACLS (AHA) certification.

  • BLS (AHA) certification.

  • PALS (AHA) certification.

  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience.

  • Ability to read EKG strips, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work variable shifts.
