Labor & Delivery Nurse

Incredible Health seeks compassionate Labor & Delivery Nurses to provide exceptional, evidence-based care to birthing patients and newborns. You’ll perform comprehensive assessments, monitor labor progress and fetal well-being, assist with deliveries, administer medications, and support families through prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care. Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.

Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments, including vital signs, cervical exams within scope, and continuous or intermittent fetal heart rate monitoring.

Administer and titrate labor-related medications such as oxytocin and epidural adjuncts per provider orders and facility protocols.

Assist obstetric providers with vaginal, assisted, and cesarean deliveries, ensuring proper preparation, sterile technique, and safe patient positioning.

Recognize and respond rapidly to obstetric and neonatal emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage, preeclampsia/eclampsia, shoulder dystocia, and non-reassuring fetal status.

Support neonatal stabilization at birth in collaboration with pediatric or neonatal teams, including participation in resuscitation efforts as trained.

Provide patient and family education on the labor process, pain management options, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.

Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately and timely in the electronic health record and related digital systems.

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, pediatric and neonatal providers, and ancillary staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards, participating in unit-based drills, simulations, and performance improvement activities.

Use technology-driven tools and platforms provided by Incredible Health and partner facilities to support efficient communication, scheduling, and workflow.

Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, emotional support, and effective communication to patients and families during high-stress and emotional situations.
