Morning Star Senior Living -  - Responsibilities:
Administer and document regularly prescribed medications per the Medication Administration record observing the five rights for safe administering of meds and per physician orders;
Order meds from the pharmacy when and as prescribed to ensure residents have medications available;
Document medications given in the resident's medical record immediately after administration;
Observe and report reactions and side effects of medications to the licensed nurse;
Take and record vital signs prior to administration when required;
Administer PRN medications per physician order;
Report medication errors promptly to the Wellness Director;
Keep the medication cart clean, stocked, and locked with the medication administration book inside;
Assist with development and review of residents' care plans with other disciplines;
Ensure residents' privacy, dignity, and comfort; assist with activities of daily living as needed;
Read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions; communicate effectively in English
