Job Responsibilities:- Conduct materials and component testing at the stages of manufacturing
- Prepare, conduct and report on the applicable testing conducted
- Red tag defective product and work with other departments to reach a consensus on root causes, action plans and corrective action
- Monitor the utilization and efficiency of quality systems used in the workplace
- Assist tool room in entering SPC data (Cap Studies) after tooling adjustments for SPC improvements
- Respond to all initial quality Andon calls
- Create GP12 inspection paperwork and enter into I Charts
- Recommend solutions to ensure conformance to quality system requirements
- Upkeep of records accumulated in production process
- Perform annual red rabbit verifications, visually inspect red rabbit for damage and accuracy and re-validate
- Perform floor audits and internal audits
- Access, input and retrieve information from the computer
- Assist with sample submission
- Review, inspect and operate gages and check fixtures on the floor
- Assist, when needed, in sorting and scrapping parts; pull old labels off containers
- Help provide training for employees in quality methods
- Follow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa and Magna’s operating principles
- Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey

Education and/orExperience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use basic inspection equipment
- Must have basic to intermediate computer skills
- Must have strong oral and written capabilities
- Must have working knowledge of SPC
- Statistical & problem-solving knowledge preferred
- Working knowledge of quality systems
- Working knowledge of CMS, Computerized Management System for inventory
- Basic knowledge of GD&T, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
