O'Toole's Garden Centers is looking for a Seasonal Cashier Lead to guide our front-end team through the hustle and bustle of peak season.

When? Seasonal Position - Starting March 16, 2026 and ending on or before June 20, 2026
- Leading the Charge - Oversee daily cashier operations, assist with tricky transactions, and keep things moving efficiently.
- Keeping the Chaos in Check - Direct cashier workflow, make sure lines stay short, and jump in during busy rushes.
- Solving Problems Like a Boss - Help resolve customer issues with confidence and a smile (or at least a really good poker face).
- Running the Show at the Registers - Process sales, returns, gift cards, and work that POS system like a pro.
- Staying Organized - Maintain a clean, tidy, and fully stocked cash wrap area (because clutter = stress).
- Spreading the Word - Stay up to date on store promotions and make sure customers know about all the great deals.
- Answering Calls Like a Call Center Pro - Help customers over the phone and ensure they get the assistance they need.
- Helping Out Where Needed - Whether it's watering plants, stocking shelves, or lending a hand, we're all in this together.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Congrats on graduating, by the way!)
- At least 2 years of cashier experience (Yes, that includes all those times you saved the day at a register!)
- Ability to lead and support a team (If you've ever been the "responsible friend," this is you.)
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills (because "I don't know" isn't a leadership strategy)
- Ability to stay cool, calm, and collected in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficiency with POS systems and retail tech
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety instructions, inventory documentation, and team coordination.
- Willingness to work weekends and peak seasonal hours (sorry, spring and summer are kind of a big deal for us).
- You have 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience (Manager of family game nights counts, right?)
- You're bilingual in English and Spanish (because helping more customers = extra awesome!)
- You love plants, people, and making the front end the smoothest operation in the store.
