OVERVIEW

Oversees the day-to-day planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and supervision of facility’s security and general maintenance to ensure a safe environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support, promote and adhere to the mission, values, and Code of Conduct of Intervention Inc. at all times.

  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; providing feedback and development, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Assist in compiling timely and accurate statistical information on program operations and services, assists in preparation of compliance audits.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Act as a change agent in the implementation of new practices, including training and coaching of staff and modeling desired behavior.
  • Ensures PREA compliance, assists in assessments and investigations as requested.
  • Maintain training on requirements of the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) and PREA Investigator training.
  • Develop and implement contingency management programs and practices to reward positive client behavior, and to hold clients accountable for negative behaviors and to assist them in changing negative behavior.
  • Actively participate on facility implementation team for evidence-based practices.
  • Actively participate in the staffing and disciplinary process for clients.
  • Facilitate the arrest and program termination processes.
  • Ensure facility compliance with security and maintenance policies and procedures and applicable standard and laws; recommend and implement changes as appropriate.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations; respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine course of action, notify appropriate authorities and assist as needed.
  • Represent the program through court hearings as a witness, when subpoenaed or as directed by Program Manager.
  • Perform case audits to ensure compliance with established policy and procedure, ensure issues are corrected.
  • Monitor and collect urinalysis tests from clients as required.
  • May be required to work nights and/or weekends.
  • Is available for on‑call duties and/or caseload coverage for Community Corrections Specialists as required.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures established per work areas.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned work site.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Create and maintain documentation of weekly work schedules for Community Correction Specialist staff.
  • Maintain oversight of audits conducted by assigned Community Correction Specialist staff of daily, weekly, and monthly operational duties.
  • Coordinate facility searches as directed by policy.
  • In collaboration with the Building Technician ensure completion and documentation of fire drill requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • EDUCATION
    :
    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, social work, counseling, a social science or other closely related field.
  • SUBSTITUTION FOR EDUCATION
    :
    Work experience in the areas of counseling, social work, law enforcement, corrections or community supervision which provided the same kind, amount, and level of knowledge acquired in the required education, will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the bachelor's degree.
