Job Profile

As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Denver, CO. Your focus will be to lead the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions across multiple product lines, while ensuring innovative technology architecture and delivering high quality code.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions across multiple product lines.
  • Direct and consult on all phases of the software engineering life cycle and troubleshoot technical problems using agile methods.
  • Lead complex problem solving and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization.
  • Monitor security technology trends and drive adoption of secure practices across system architectures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years.

  • University or college degree (bachelor’s). Master’s, Ph.D., or certifications are desirable.
  • Experience in software engineering, architecture, and leadership at a senior level.
  • Strong understanding of system development life cycle and agile practices.

Work Experience & Education

Roles at this level typically require a university or college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, Ph.D., or certifications is desirable. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Salaries and Benefits

Base Salary: $92,000.00 - $. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills and experience. The role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
