Job Profile

As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Denver, CO. Your focus will be to lead the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions across multiple product lines, while ensuring innovative technology architecture and delivering high quality code.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions across multiple product lines.
• Direct and consult on all phases of the software engineering life cycle and troubleshoot technical problems using agile methods.
• Lead complex problem solving and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization.
• Monitor security technology trends and drive adoption of secure practices across system architectures.
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.

• Customer Focused – knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction with primary considerations in all business decisions, and able to leverage that information in creating customized solutions.
• Managing Risk – assess and effectively manage all risks associated with business objectives and activities to ensure adherence to PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years.

• University or college degree (bachelor’s). Master’s, Ph.D., or certifications are desirable.
• Experience in software engineering, architecture, and leadership at a senior level.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Base Salary: $92,000.00 - $. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills and experience. The role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
