Backed by significant funding and led by an experienced leadership team, the company is building a next-generation platform designed to transform how consumers access and manage financial protection products.
As the organization prepares for a major platform launch, it is expanding its technology team and seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help launch, support and continuously improve its customer-facing platform.

Remote candidates located within these markets will be considered. Occasional onsite collaboration in Charlotte is strongly preferred.
Position SummaryThe Full-Stack Software Engineer will design, build, deploy and support customer-facing software across the application stack. This person will work closely with engineering, product and business stakeholders to deliver new functionality, troubleshoot production issues and improve the reliability and performance of the platform.
The strongest candidates will have experience shipping production software that is actively used by customers. They should be comfortable working across frontend and backend technologies, modifying live applications, investigating bugs and implementing fixes in a fast-moving environment.
This is primarily a software engineering role. However, the engineer should understand and apply modern Dev Ops practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, cloud deployment, monitoring and production support. The right person will take ownership of their work from initial development through deployment and ongoing operation.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in startup environments, has experience with cloud-based applications and is interested in using AI-powered development tools to improve software quality, productivity and delivery speed.
This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and is not available on a corp-to-corp basis. Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain customer-facing features across the full application stack
- Develop and enhance backend services, APIs and application integrations
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable and scalable production code
- Take ownership of software from development and testing through deployment and production support
- Collaborate with product leaders and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Support the launch of a new customer-facing technology platform
- Diagnose application bugs, production issues and performance problems
- Implement timely fixes and improvements within live production software
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions and engineering planning
- Develop automated tests and improve overall application quality
- Apply Dev Ops best practices to software development and delivery workflows
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient deployments
- Monitor application performance, availability and user experience
- Use logging, alerting and observability tools to identify and resolve issues
- Contribute to cloud environment configuration and deployment processes within AWS
- Continuously improve engineering practices, development workflows and platform reliability
- Evaluate and use AI-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency, testing, troubleshooting and documentation
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building and shipping production software used by customers or internal business users
- Full-stack development experience across frontend and backend technologies
- Experience developing modern web applications and APIs
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting, modifying and improving live production applications
- Understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment and support
- Experience working with cloud-based applications, preferably within AWS
- Familiarity with automated testing, source control and modern software delivery practices
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product and business stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced environment
