The firm services a diverse client base within the tri-state area providing highly personalized and comprehensive accounting, audit, tax and business consulting services. We are a mid-sized public accounting firm (70+ employees) seeking an Senior Audit Accountant who wants the opportunity to expand skills, assume direct responsibility for client matters and be an integral team member at our growing CPA firm.
In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, to include supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients. Candidates will have the opportunity for long-term growth and bonus compensation based on their contributions and combination of individual & team efforts. Contribute to the client service team by producing quality work, quick turnaround, and attentive service.
Draft various schedules, notes, opinions and comments for the audit report. Monitor staff performance on jobs. Perform/Oversee the reconciliation of client records to trial balance, which may include analytical procedures, and performs schedule computations of prepaid, accruals, property, equipment, and calculates depreciation expense. Use the firm's software programs to automate the process from trial balance and financial statements. Perform other accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting duties as needed in engagements.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field. CPA eligible required. CPA preferred. Minimum two (2) years' experience of running audit engagements. Knowledge of general accounting principles Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
