Roofing Manager SUMMARY
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all field operations related to new construction roofing projects, ensuring each job is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with All County’s quality standards. This role provides strong on-site leadership, coordinates subcontracting crews, manages daily workflow, and maintains seamless communication between field teams, project managers, inside coordinators, and builders. The Construction Manager ensures customer satisfaction, resolves issues proactively, and supports the overall success of multiple ongoing projects.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES Project Planning & Coordination
- Review daily schedules and update timelines as needed.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors in partnership with the Roofing Manager.
- Plan project sequencing and ensure crews are properly scheduled and equipped.
- Coordinate and manage material orders, returns, and extras.
- Generate proposals for repairs, change orders, and new work.
- Provide daily on-site oversight to ensure installations meet company and manufacturer standards.
- Conduct site walkthroughs to monitor progress, safety, cleanliness, and quality.
- Ensure all required documentation and photos are captured and uploaded for each project.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and resolve field challenges promptly.
- Oversee punch-lists, inspections, and warranty-related work as needed.
- Enforce jobsite safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures.
- Ensure crews are working safely and using proper protective equipment.
- Report and document safety incidents or near-misses.
- Establish and maintain strong rapport with builders, suppliers, subcontractors, and project partners.
- Act as the primary field contact for builders and homeowners during construction.
- Maintain professional communication, appearance, and behavior at all times.
- Provide timely updates to the Roofing Manager and internal team regarding job status and challenges.
- Cultivate, maintain, and improve strong communication skills across all levels.
- Track job progress, timelines, and labor requirements.
- Review job costs, deliveries, and resource usage for accuracy.
- Ensure project close-out documentation is completed accurately; that all required documentation and/or pictures are uploaded for each project.
- Generates proposals for repairs and new work.
- Assist with estimating, budgeting, and scheduling future work when needed.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Jointly responsible, with the Foreman, for supervising roofing crews and subcontractors working on new construction sites.
- Jointly responsible, with the Foreman, for evaluating crew performance, providing feedback, and coordinating with management to address performance issues
- Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and 1-3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of construction management or roofing project management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, construction practices, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, scopes, and project documents.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with jobsite technology, project management software, and digital documentation tools.
- Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation required.
- This position requires full-time, on-site presence at our Lakewood, New Jersey (08701) offices, and the ability to regularly commute locally between customer sites.
- This job routinely requires longer hours- typically 10-hour days.
- The standard schedule is Monday – Friday; occasionally weekend work may be needed.
