We're partnering with a well-established, privately held real estate developer in Northern New Jersey to find an experienced Project Manager for their residential multi-family, wood frame construction team.
This developer has over 50 years in the business, a portfolio of 6,500+ luxury apartment homes, and a growing footprint across residential, industrial, and data center projects. This is a chance to join a company known for quality-driven, values-led leadership and take full ownership of a ground-up multi-family project from procurement through close-out.
What you'll be doing:- Leading a project onsite, owning outcomes from budget to schedule to quality
- Managing the full subcontractor lifecycle — bidding, procurement, contracts, AIA billing, and lien waiver compliance
- Driving change management, cost forecasting, and value engineering
- Overseeing superintendents, RFIs, submittals, and the permitting process
- Running weekly subcontractor meetings and keeping leadership aligned on project status
- Preparing the project for a smooth handoff to property management at close-out
- BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 7–10 years as a Project Manager on construction projects
- Hands-on experience with multi-family wood frame development
- Comfortable leveling bids, writing trade scopes, and working with A&E teams
- Experience with concrete footings and foundations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Procore
$165,000–$185,000 (based on experience)
