Commercial Junior Designer

The Junior Interior  Designerisa highly organized and detail-oriented member of a Design team.

Designeror Sr Designer to help them get their projects completed in a most organized,efficientandtimelymanner. The Junior Designer is also responsible for making sure that the proper tools are available and in use by theteamand that schedules are being set and adhered to. Thepositionrequiresanindividual with excellent communication and customer service skills andthe abilityto multitask.

• Responsible to enter all required project data, upload all design selection documentation, keep statuses up todateand storeall project artifact sin CMR’s project management system.
• Ensure the use ofSmart
  
  Sheetsdashboardsand thatalldata and specsfortheteam'sprojectsare kept up to date.
• Collaborate with the design team to create and develop design concepts for interior and exterior spaces, including selecting color palettes, materials, and furnishings
• Activelyparticipatein project meetings, taking notesand communicating with clientson follow up actionsas needed
• Completion of tasks within the timeline and budget as provided by their senior team members
• Create all visual material for client meetings and presentations.
• Coordinate the creation of CAD drawings, 3
  
  Dmodelsand renderings to visualize design concepts
• Conduct research on materials, products, and design trends to ensure that design solutions are innovative and current
• Assist seniors on job site walkthroughsfollowing up with any relevant parties on all necessary items
• Assist with project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors
• Schedule meetings, book meeting rooms, and ensure all necessary materials areproperlyprepared.
• Maintain design team samples and ensure a clean and organized workspace and library.
• Provide administrative support to the design team as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, track orders, and manage deliveries.
• The use ofa smartphone and CMR-related apps isrequiredfor the role to ensure effective communication and access to necessary tools.
• Other responsibilities as assigned

• 1-2 years of experience in an interior design firm or related field
• Completion of a certified design course or Bachelor'sdegree in a relevant field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD,Sketchupand Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Greatwrittenandverbal communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to carry samples to clients and back to CMR offices
• Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and colleagues in a professional manner
• Knowledge of basic building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• A positivefriendlyattitude and willingness to learn
