Senior Electrical Estimator

An established and successful Private Equity firm are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator.

The Senior Level Electrical Estimator will determine the approximate costs of various electrical installations for industrial and multi-family residential projects.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials and equipment.
• Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the scope of work and to determine project requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical codes and regulations.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information for estimates.
• Preparing and submitting competitive proposals and bids to secure new projects.
• Utilize your knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) to ensure compliance in all projects.
• Utilizing software to improve the accuracy and efficiency of estimates.
• Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines.
• Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating or a combination of estimating and field experience.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Accubid, Count Fire, Bluebeam, Word) and advanced Excel.
• Ability to interpret design intent and recognize incomplete or ambiguous documentation.
• An in-depth understanding of electrical code compliance.
• Exceptional skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.
• Certification through the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) or the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International is preferred but not required.
