- Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology
- Prior Speech Language Pathology experience; new graduates welcome
- Other certifications or licenses as required
The Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication and swallowing disorders. The SLP develops individualized treatment plans, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and facilitates improved outcomes.
Essential Work Functions- Utilize assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluations
- Assess progress, adjust plans, and maintain documentation in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and safe swallowing practices
- Coordinate comprehensive care with multiple healthcare professionals
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development
- Perform other duties within scope of practice
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills
- Reading, writing, and speaking in English
- Ability to read instructions, follow verbal directions, and proficient PC skills
- Physical:
Remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend - Interpersonal:
Work effectively with professional and ancillary staff - Technical/Motor:
Fine manipulation and assist with procedures - Mental:
Handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work independently, manage irregular schedules, maintain concentration - Sensory:
