Job OverviewThe Perioperative Resources Tech, under the supervision of the Administrative Director of Perioperative Services, functions with multiple responsibilities. Operating Room scheduling and Unit Clerk responsibilities will be combined with providing information system support with data entry. This includes the implementation of the PICIS computer system.
QualificationsRequired:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Minimum of 2 years secretarial / hospital experience preferred
- Computer and typing skills
- Verbal and written communications
- BLS
- Full-Time
- Days
- Monday-Friday, 9am-4:45pm
- Answers telephones, screens calls and routes to appropriate party in accordance with hospital policy
- Assists in data collection and maintenance for quality assurance tracking
- Assists with the duties of the Unit Clerk in all Perioperative areas and provides relief for assigned personnel when required
- Enters information daily into the PICIS system
- Maintains the confidentiality, security and integrity of employee information according to the hospital policy and procedure
- Maintains the department's filing system and the computer data base
- Orders office supplies and maintains an adequate amount in keeping with the department's budget
- Sorts and distributes all incoming and outgoing mail
- Types correspondences, memorandas and reports
