Job Description /SummaryThe Program Counselor is responsible for providing psycho educational groups and case management to co-occurring population. The Program Counselor also provides linkages to resources and completes all documentation in a timely manner. This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, day shift.
No weekends or major holidays required. Full benefit package available for:

Engages Co-Occurring clients and provides explanation of services;
Works effectively with the full spectrum of diagnosis disorders.
- Demonstrates ability to assess risk category, mental status, level of compliance and motivation.
- Demonstrates ability to assess clients’ needs, and provide interventions that are timely and appropriate.
- Effectively provides group counseling, utilizing our best practice curriculum.
- Completes progress/group notes accurately, addressing treatment goals, major clinical issues and changes in mental health status.
Proficient written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Demonstrates ability to perform basic computer functions and use of electronic records as required by job function.
- Coordinate services with internal and external providers of consumer’s care
- Works effectively with the full spectrum of diagnosis disorders;
Demonstrates empathy and compassion
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or LPN with 2 years experience in addictions and mental health issues.

Valid New Jersey Drivers License in good standing.
