Known for exceptional standards of care, operational excellence, and continuous expansion, the organization manages a diverse and growing portfolio of Skilled Nursing Facilities across multiple states.
Position OverviewThe Vice President of Revenue Cycle will oversee a large internal accounting and billing team of more than 40 employees, made up primarily of Accounts Receivable Managers, Billers, and revenue cycle support staff. This executive will be responsible for the full revenue cycle continuum—billing, collections, reimbursement optimization, payer relations, compliance, and revenue integrity.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Skilled Nursing Facility billing and reimbursement, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record building and managing effective, scalable revenue cycle teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, A/R management, and reimbursement processes across the organization.
- Manage and mentor a team of 40+ Accounting and AR/Billing professionals, ensuring high performance, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Develop best‑practice workflows, policies, and operational standards to improve efficiency and strengthen cash flow.
- Monitor KPIs such as DSO, aging, collection percentages, and denial rates; implement strategies to improve performance across all facilities.
- Collaborate with facility administrators, clinical leadership, and finance teams to ensure accurate coding, documentation, and streamlined reimbursement processes.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for payer issues, overseeing relationships with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and commercial payers.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance and alignment with federal and state billing requirements for Skilled Nursing reimbursement.
- Drive initiatives related to technology enhancements, automation, and system optimization to support future growth.
- Participate in executive leadership discussions, providing strategic insight into revenue cycle performance and financial strategy.
- Extensive experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) revenue cycle management
, including deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care billing. - Proven leadership experience overseeing large, multi‑layered revenue cycle teams (ideally 20+ staff).
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and reimbursement structures specific to Skilled Nursing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex billing environments across multiple states or facilities.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to implement operational improvements, drive standardization, and lead large teams through growth and change.
- Based in or willing to be regularly on‑site in Lakewood, NJ
