Director of Oncology Services

Overview

Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health (RWJBH) seeks an experienced Director of Oncology Services for the Central and Southern Regions. This visionary leader will work collaboratively with RWJBH Oncology Services and leadership to establish and achieve strategic goals and inspire and mentor others.

The Director will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to enhance operations, quality, image, and growth of the Oncology programs across the Central and Southern Regions, including Monmouth Medical Center, Monmouth South Medical Center, Community Medical Center, Hamilton Medical Center, Somerset Medical Center and new regional multispecialty centers such as Old Bridge. The Director will actively develop and implement the oncology strategic plan in collaboration with Rutgers Cancer Institute and the RWJBH oncology service line.

They will bring a regional and national reputation, clinical care expertise, and a successful track record in clinical research.

Members of the group hold leadership positions throughout the health care system, and a strong clinical research center supports any research endeavor. The candidate will professionally supervise medical professionals across the oncology programs of the Central and Southern Regions, creating continuity between medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and other cancer‑related services.

• Provide Medical Oncology services, including supervision of coverage during all periods of operation.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to execute the RWJBH Oncology strategic plan.
• Assist in developing administrative rules, policies, and regulations for the Oncology programs.
• Participate and lead community and staff medical education programs.
• Direct the department’s Quality program in line with RWJBH system initiatives.
