Job Summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Lakewood, New Jersey. You will have the opportunity to impact patients’ lives while earning competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

• Doctorate degree in physical therapy
• Physical Therapy experience (new graduates are welcome)
• Additional certifications or licenses may be required

• Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring maintenance and calibration.
• Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
• Assist in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home settings.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned.

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English.
• Basic PC skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical Abilities – Remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
• Interpersonal Skills – Work effectively with diverse personnel, maintain a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Technical/Motor Skills – Grasp, manipulate, push/pull, and assist with procedures using department equipment.
• Mental Requirements – Handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work independently when required, and maintain concentration on details.
• Sensory – Visual acuity and effective communication.
