VP, Technology and Business Enablement

Work Environment: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)

Our client is an established, growth-focused technology and business services organization that delivers innovative solutions to commercial and public-sector clients. The organization is seeking a senior technology executive to align enterprise technology with business strategy, enhance operational performance, and advance responsible digital transformation. Operating in a complex, highly regulated environment, the organization prioritizes measurable results, operational resilience, and collaborative leadership.

The VP, Technology & Business Enablement is the organization’s senior technology executive, responsible for shaping and executing an enterprise technology strategy that supports growth, operational excellence, and digital transformation. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the leadership team, this role aligns technology investments, capabilities, and governance with business priorities while ensuring the organization remains secure, resilient, and positioned to create long-term value.

This leader operates as a business executive first and a technology leader second—setting priorities, making investment tradeoffs, aligning resources to enterprise goals, and balancing internal capabilities with managed services. The VP leads cross-functional governance with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Client Relations so technology decisions are connected to measurable business outcomes.

• Establish enterprise priorities and deliverables across applications and business technology, AIOps and automation, Agile Dev Ops, infrastructure and cybersecurity, digital strategy and customer experience, and business intelligence and data analytics.
• Own the technology operating model, annual budget, workforce plan, and managed-services strategy, with a focus on business enablement, agility, accountability, and value realization.
• Serve as the primary business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team for enterprise technology matters.
• Identify opportunities where technology, AI, data, and automation can accelerate growth, employee development, client delivery, and productivity.
• Lead investment planning and portfolio prioritization to maximize business value, manage risk, and improve return on investment.
• Set governance for cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, service delivery, compliance, and vendor accountability.
• Approve major architecture, sourcing, and platform decisions in partnership with executive leadership.
• Develop and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with enterprise strategic priorities.
• Build leadership capability, maintain succession plans for critical roles, and develop a high-performing technology organization.
• Act as executive sponsor for enterprise transformation initiatives requiring cross-functional change leadership.

• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience with accountability across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, and service delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading technology organizations in consulting, business process management, professional services, or a similarly complex environment.
• Proven success partnering with Finance, Client Relations, Human Resources, and Operations leaders to deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Experience managing a blended internal and outsourced operating model with clear vendor-performance expectations.
• Ability to communicate technology decisions in terms of business value, risk, and financial impact for executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
