DescriptionSummary/Objective:
The Open Text Extended ECM for SAP Solutions Architect role will leverage expertise in Open Text Extended ECM and SAP integration to design and implement tailored solutions that enhance business processes. You will guide clients through the full lifecycle of ECM implementations, ensuring that their SAP systems are fully integrated with Open Text content management solutions, enabling streamlined workflows and improved business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Open Text Extended ECM, SAP integration, and enterprise content management, with a focus on optimizing business processes across various SAP modules such as SAP S/4
HANA, SAP Success Factors, and SAP Business Suite.
- Design and implement Open Text Extended ECM solutions that integrate with SAP systems, including SAP S/4
HANA, SAP Success Factors, and SAP Business Suite. - Architect solutions that bridge structured SAP data with unstructured content to create a unified view of business objects (e.g., customers, vendors, purchase orders).
- Develop custom work spaces within Open Text ECM tailored to SAP use cases, such as procurement files, employee records, or asset lifecycle management.
- Integrate Open Text Extended ECM with SAP using integration methods such as SAP Archive Link, CMIS, SAP Fiori, and other APIs or middleware solutions.
- Design and implement data and document archiving strategies for SAP environments, ensuring efficient management of unstructured content linked to SAP transactions.
- Collaborate with SAP teams to ensure seamless integration and content management across business processes like finance, HR, procurement, and engineering.
- Manage the lifecycle of unstructured content (documents, emails, images) and ensure proper metadata management, classification, and governance.
- Implement automated workflows to streamline business processes such as invoice management, HR onboarding, or engineering document control.
- Apply records management standards and ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., DoD 5015.2, GDPR) within SAP and Open Text systems.
- Lead the deployment of Open Text Extended ECM in various environments (cloud, on-premises, hybrid) and manage integration with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Align ECM solutions with SAP's RISE or GROW programs to support SaaS-based content services and modern business operations.
- Use programming skills in languages like Java, JavaScript, or ABAP to create custom solutions, automate workflows, and integrate systems.
- Implement AI-powered features such as Open Text Content Aviator or SAP Joule to enhance automation, analytics, and document management capabilities.
- Lead blueprinting, architecture design, installation, configuration, and testing of Open Text Extended ECM solutions for SAP projects.
- Apply methodologies like Open Text’s Fastrack or similar frameworks to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with high quality.
- Manage data migration strategies to move legacy ECM systems into Open Text Extended ECM while ensuring compatibility with SAP updates and new versions.
- Lead and mentor implementation teams, coordinating with Open Text Professional Services and cross-functional teams, including SAP Basis, developers, and business analysts.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify content management needs and design solutions that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
