Field Engineer 4

Lakewood, NJ

• Perform field service and break-fix repairs for laptops and desktop computers throughout the assigned metro and surrounding areas.
• Replace hard drives, motherboards, keyboards, LCDs, and other computer components.
• Perform whole-unit equipment swaps when required.
• Repair or replace PC peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
• Travel extensively between customer/service locations.
• Close service tickets in real time using the assigned call-management system and company-provided phone.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, time, and location.

• Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid car insurance.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on laptop and desktop break-fix experience.
• Computer-building or PC assembly experience preferred.
• General knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware and software.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic/non-complex technical issues.
• Must be comfortable with extensive local/regional driving.
• Client and/or governmental clearance may be required.
• Police/criminal background verification clearance may be required.

• Must successfully complete required product training.
• Must pass drug and background screening.
• Must be able to obtain required computer certifications within the specified timeframe.

Industry/manufacturer computer certifications are required after selection and before starting the position. The required certifications are provided at no cost to the candidate.

• Weekly Mileage: 250-350 miles
• Vaccination:

• Travel time to/from work is not paid.
• Mileage driven during the workday to customer locations is reimbursed according to standard mileage policy.
