Key responsibilities
- Test all application functionality across web and mobile platforms, where applicable.
- Review requirements and user stories to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and missing requirements.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and QA reports.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, usability, and user-acceptance testing.
- Test BMS workflows such as user access, dashboards, data entry, approvals, alerts, reports, and system integrations.

- Retest fixes and confirm that issues are resolved before release.
- Support UAT and release validation with business users.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to improve quality.
Database and performance testing
- Test database queries for correctness, response time, and impact on application performance.
- Identify slow pages, reports, dashboards, searches, and API calls.
- Review and report inefficient queries, unnecessary joins, missing indexes, duplicate queries, and large data scans.
- Work with developers or DBAs to review query execution plans and validate performance fixes.
- Test the application with realistic, high-volume data.
- Perform load, stress, and response-time testing for critical BMS workflows.
- Monitor errors, timeouts, database locks, deadlocks, and connection issues.
- Verify that performance improvements do not affect functional results or data accuracy.
- Document bottlenecks, test evidence, findings, and recommendations.
Required skills
- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Ability to write clear test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge, including joins, filters, grouping, and data validation.
- Familiarity with databases and the ability to identify slow queries or review execution plans.
- Knowledge of defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience with performance-testing tools such as JMeter or k6 is preferred.
- Understanding of indexing, pagination, caching, API response times, and data volume impact.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with BMS, workflow, asset-management, operations, or enterprise applications is an advantage.
- Test plan for each release
- Functional, regression, integration, and performance test cases
- Database and data-validation test results
- Defect reports and retest status
- Performance findings and recommendations
- Release QA sign-off report
- UAT support and final validation summary
