** Electro Mechanical Technician
– Job Description
**** Pay:*** **$40.79/hour

* ** Saturday & Sunday:

** Essential Functions
*** Promote a strong safety culture and awareness within all areas of responsibility; support all plant safety policies and procedures.
* Install, monitor, test, repair, and replace electrical circuits, motors, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and transformers using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
* Operate, repair, and maintain high‐voltage switch gear, controls, motor control centers, and PLCs.
* Perform diagnostic tests and repair or replace electronic control components and related equipment, including ground fault tracing and cable replacement.
* Provide controls support in troubleshooting PLC‐based systems and instrumentation, with a willingness to grow this skill set.
* Plan and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in machinery and buildings, including repairing or replacing conduit and wiring.
* Diagnose malfunctioning electrical equipment using testing instruments and hand tools to identify issues and correct problems.
* Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment (e.g., seals, gaskets, bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, sumps, mills).
* Troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
* Execute preventative maintenance schedules and perform routine mechanical and electrical inspections (e.g., emergency lighting, motors, switch gear, smoke detectors).
* Follow all department GMPs, SOPs, JSAs, and safety policy requirements; participate in safety training and comply with all safety procedures.
* Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to all safety protocols.
* Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Work from sketches or verbal instructions.
* Interpret blueprints.
* Work closely with the controls engineer.
* Create work notifications in the Maintenance Management System.
* Advise management when equipment operation could be hazardous.
* Assist with all tasks necessary to maintain the facility.
* Follow all plant safety, GMP, and SOP regulations.##
** Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
*** Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all organizational levels.
* Strong communication skills—clear and concise in verbal and written formats.
* Ability to prioritize and direct work in a fast‐paced, production‐driven environment.
* Strong knowledge of electrical power and control systems, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles.
* Strong working knowledge of AC/DC motors, PLCs, relay control systems, and analog controls.
* Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
* Skilled in troubleshooting operating errors and determining corrective actions.
* Proficiency with electrical measuring instruments.
* Ability to install equipment, machines, controls, conduit, and wiring.
* Ability to repair machines or systems using appropriate tools.
* Proven knowledge of NEC, UL standards, Allen‐Bradley controls, AC and motor controls, and various process sensors.
