Retail furniture receiving and assembly associate

Wayfair is hiring a Retail Furniture Receiving and Assembly Associate to support our fast-paced, customer-focused retail operation. In this role, you'll receive, inspect, and organize inbound furniture shipments, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and maintain clean, safe storage areas. You'll assemble furniture to quality standards using hand and power tools, troubleshoot minor issues, and prepare items for showroom display or customer pickup.

Working closely with store and logistics teams, you'll help improve efficiency, uphold Wayfair's high quality bar, and contribute to a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload inbound furniture shipments safely and efficiently
• Inspect products for damage and verify accuracy against purchase orders
• Organize and stage inventory in backroom or warehouse areas
• Assemble furniture to specification using hand and power tools
• Perform quality checks to ensure assembled items meet Wayfair standards
• Prepare products for showroom display and customer pickup/delivery
• Use basic systems or RF scanners to track inventory movements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Collaborate with store and logistics teams to resolve product or delivery issues
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while handling merchandise
