** Primary Responsibilities
*** Teach 5 class periods per day (60-minute rotating schedule) plus an advisory group.
* Support the school's Holy Cross Catholic mission through extracurricular activities, service-learning, and retreats.
* Teach courses aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum.
* Be willing to teach Advanced Placement (AP) and IB Diploma courses.
* Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary lessons and authentic assessments.
* Maintain an organized, positive classroom environment with effective behavior management.
* Provide additional academic support to struggling students by working with tutors and colleagues.
* Communicate regularly with counselors, learning specialists, parents, and students.
* Keep lesson plans and grades updated in Blackbaud, the school's learning management system.
* Maintain flexible hours within contract specifications, providing time before school, during community period and after school for additional help, individualized instruction, mentoring or guidance of independent projects.
** Qualifications
* ** Enthusiasm for teaching students with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles.
* Ohio teaching license in Integrated Social Studies or History, or a non-tax teaching certificate.
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master's preferred.
* Previous teaching or instructional experience.
* Successful completion of a criminal background check and Virtus training
