• Set up and operate tools such as lathes, milling machines, shaper and grinder to machine parts and verify conformance of machine parts to specifications.
• Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools and dies.
• Set up runs off and test dies to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and correcting them.
• Lapping, grinding, fitting, and finishing dies.
• Read and interpret routine blueprints.
• Use hand tools of the trade.
• Perform maintenance for cold header tooling and work with cold header operators, engineering, and production to support customer’s needs and lead times.

• High School degree, Trade School graduate or Apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to make carbide trap and extrusion dies.
• Ability to read and understand production prints and tolerances, drawings, follow routings and shop math.
• Comfortable using various hand‑held measuring tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand for an 8‑hour shift and be comfortable in a moderate to heavy physical effort environment.
