Position: Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Lakewood, OH
Dedicated nursing professionals are needed to provide attentive care for patients in a dynamic stepdown unit environment. This contract opportunity centers on delivering safe, efficient, age-specific nursing for individuals and families, focusing on helping them attain and sustain optimal health. Practicing within a collaborative, patient-centered setting, you'll support positive clinical outcomes through compassionate practice and effective teamwork.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position; schedule details provided during interview

Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Clinical experience in stepdown or progressive care units preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (required)
• Skilled at working with a nurse/patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
• Strong clinical assessment and technical nursing abilities
• Adaptable to floating between various inpatient areas as patient care demands shift

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, relationship-based nursing care using the nursing process
• Apply critical thinking, prioritize patient needs, and ensure accurate documentation
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in all aspects of patient care to ensure positive outcomes
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize care and operations
• Float to units within the hospital system, including SDU, MCU, West Medical, West Surgical, and emergency departments, as needed
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
