Position: Continuing Education Non-Credit - Adjunct Faculty Pool (part-time)
Position Summary

The Community and Continuing Education (CCE) program is a growing, self-support department that develops and delivers a broad range of personal enrichment and professional development programming focusing on the needs, interests, talents and lifelong learning goals for individuals in the community.

Offerings include noncredit, certificate, onsite, offsite and online delivery of programs and courses. CCE is seeking qualified candidates to teach short-term courses and workshops typically scheduled during the week in the evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons, ranging in length from one session up to seven weeks.

For most courses, a degree is not required, just knowledge and experience with your proposed topic and a passion to share it with others. If you have an interest in teaching, download and complete a course proposal form atwww.

Essential Functions

* Develop and teach course(s) as assigned.

* Conduct assigned classes in a manner that promotes student success and incorporates various teaching styles and technology.

* Work effectively with students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Qualifications

* Subject matter experience or expertise.

* Ability to teach groups of adult learners.

Terms of Employment:

Salary for noncredit course instruction is paid per student, percentage split or hourly based on the type of course and the current market rate. Noncredit Community and Continuing Education instructors are not part of the bargaining unit for faculty and are not eligible to accrue sick leave or any other benefits.
