Incident Management Team (IMT) and Credentialing Program Manager Emergency Management Program Specialist 3 Camp Murray, WA
Under the direction of the Logistics Program Supervisor, this position maintains statewide credentialing programs for EOC and All-Hazard Type 3 IMT personnel, and coordinates among state and local agencies to support the readiness and availability of Type 3 All-Hazard IMT's statewide.
Emergency Management DivisionAs part of the Military Department, the Emergency Management Division (EMD) leads and coordinates mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery in Washington State to minimize the impact of disasters and emergencies on the people, property, environment, and economy.
This is a civilian position and does not require military service affiliation.

Some of what you will do:- Leads collaboration and establishes agreements with state, local, and tribal agencies to facilitate the readiness and availability of All-Hazard IMTs and IMT personnel.
- Maintains and improves a statewide credentialing program for Type 3 All-Hazard Incident Management Team personnel in accordance with the Interstate Incident Management Qualifications System Guide (IIMQS).
- Maintains and improves a statewide credentialing program for deployable EOC personnel as single resources in accordance with the National Qualification System (NQS).
- Collaborates with the State EOC Core Staff to support personnel credentialing for the State EOC according to the SEOC Credentialing Plan.
- Serves as the NIMS Coordinator for the State of Washington.
- Serves in the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) or Joint Field Office/Area Field Office (JFO/AFO) in support of an activation for an incident or event. Helps to ensure that their program or section maintains compliance with the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) guidelines and is prepared for regularly scheduled audits.
Two years of experience as an Emergency Management Program Specialist 2; OR A Bachelor's degree AND four years of professional level experience in emergency management, financial management (grant, contracting, claims management, budgeting), training/education, public information/affairs, program/project management, environmental analysis or planning, civil/structural engineering, legislative affairs, and/or urban planning.
Additional qualifying experience will substitute, year for year, for the education requirement. A Master's or Ph.D. degree will substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
DESIRED Education/Training- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in emergency management, homeland security, or public administration.

- Position-specific training in one or more AHIMT positions at the Type 3 level or above.
- Instructor qualification for one or more AHIMT position-specific courses.
