Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control and Materials to join our growing team in Lakewood WA!

This person will be managing end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics operations, including material handling, maintaining receiving schedules, processing receipts, and ensuring vendor compliance with packaging and shipping standards.

This position offers an hourly rate of $25/hr.

Performance increases every 6 months up to $29/hr.

Hours are Monday-Friday 9-5:30 with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Inbound Receiving Schedules
  • Ensure all inbound materials are receipted properly and on a timely basis in line with current processes and corporate guidelines
  • Work with Corporate Purchasing department to ensure accurate processing of inbound receipts following established company procedures and vendor compliance with packaging and shipping standards. When needed write PRR’s written on any material that does not conform to D-13 packaging standards
  • Verify process and deliver all inbound purchased PDC materials. Ensure documentation is complete and provided to Finance Department for payment of invoices
  • Assist Supervisor with investigation of put away errors. Recommend changes to processes and/or corrective action
  • Rate and affix transportation charges to outbound shipments
  • Trace and expedite inbound and outbound shipments with various transportation carriers, preparing claims, and issuing credits for damages, shortages, and related items
  • Recommend the consolidation of orders to effect prompt delivery and economical transportation charges
  • Answer inquiries and correspondence in a timely manner pertaining to transportation service matters
  • Provide daily support to ensure all OIE, SIE, and Surplus are completed and processed according to company policy
  • Investigate all potential BRBOs
  • Use TOLAS and WMS to ensure outbound shipments are picked, packed, and shipped on schedule
  • When needed batch and schedule all outbound shipments
  • Support PDC Managers and Supervisors in ensuring all shipments are loaded complete and released on time
  • Maintain record integrity by performing inventory checks in the warehouse, to investigate and do root cause trend analysis on inventory discrepancies, making accurate inventory adjustments, processing inbound receipts, investigating receipt discrepancies, and performing various office related and reporting functions
  • Timely administration and processing of problem resolution reporting (PRR) based on established company policy and procedures
  • Promptly research and respond to requests from the Knoxville Accounting Center to resolve issues with vendor receipts both through direct communication and via the PDC Notifier system
  • Performs a variety of tasks to support the preparation of the detailed financial statements and the maintenance of various financial subsystems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 year of Supply Chain, Logistics, or Distribution/Warehouse experience

  • Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules in a fast paced environment
