** Responsibilities*
* + This position prepares finished products for shipment or storage by placing them in shipping containers, the specific operations performed being dependent upon the type, size, and number of units to be packed, the type of container employed, and method of shipment.
+ Work requires the placing of items in shipping containers and may involve one or more of the following:
+ knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content, selection of appropriate type and size of container, inserting enclosures in container; using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage, closing and sealing container, and applying labels or entering identifying data on container.
+ Excludes packers who also make wooden boxes or crates.
** Qualifications*
* + Must be a US Citizen.
+ Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
+ Must be able to pass a background check.
+ Must be able to pass random drug testing.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
+ Valid Driver's License.
** Desired Qualifications** :
+ Completed prerequisite training for Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 92Y Unit Supply Specialist or have equivalent training with 4-6 years of experience in the grade of E-5 to E-6.
+ Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, or related role.
+ Familiarity with the operation of Powered Industrial Trucks.
+ Knowledge of the GCSS-Army.
+
Experience with Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS).
+
Experience with Federal logistics Information System (FEDLOG).
