Compensation$38.91 - $60.31 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. Onsite only.
SummaryServes as an onsite education resource to clinical nurses on orientation. Provides education and clinical support to ensure safe care and to ease the transition from advanced beginner to competent clinical nurse. Serves as a mentor to new clinical staff and participates in evaluating clinical performance in collaboration with unit leadership. Works with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment, requiring critical thinking skills and decisive judgement.
Responsibilities- Make rounds and meet with clinical nurses on orientation, providing education and clinical support.
- Collaborate with unit educators and preceptors to assess learning needs.
- Participate in delivering new clinical staff orientation.
- Deliver learning activities related to clinical competencies, departmental and organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.
- Serve as a mentor to new clinical staff.
- Participate in evaluating clinical performance of new staff with unit leadership.
- Utilize critical thinking, decisive judgement, and work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Previous Charge Nurse experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date.
- BLS or CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire.
