Outpatient medical service clinics operate Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. The selected candidate must have weekday availability during normal business hours to support per diem coverage.

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) functions independently when utilizing the nursing process and is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating and delegating nursing functions across the lifespan. The RN collaborates with patients, patient families/significant others, Physicians/Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), patient care staff, leadership and community partners. Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process as a systematic problem‑solving approach to nursing care, facilitating optimal functioning and health for the patient.
- Independently triage patients in person, via telephone and secure messages, using protocols, guidelines and standards.
- Apply critical thinking in making decisions regarding patient care, integrating relevant standards, resources and data.
- Use assessment and analysis skills to deliver medical regimens directed by physicians and APPs.
- Delegate selected patient care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials and demonstrated competence.
- Collaborate with the clinic team to improve quality of care, patient experience and stewardship.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and all members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care, promoting autonomy, dignity and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or obtained within five years of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in lieu of this requirement.
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred.
- Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi‑state licensure endorsement (MSL).
- Current BLS certification required.
- Advanced Life Support certification may be required after hire, depending on assigned clinic site.
- Two years of experience as an RN in a clinic setting preferred.
- Candidates with less than two years’ experience may be considered for a Transition to Practice program.
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. Salary range is $45.62 – $65.66 USD; pay is influenced by skill set, experience, certifications and education. If the position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale aligned with applicant’s years of experience.
